Easter is almost here and I got a huge bag of mini eggs from costco, not only are they delicious but they picked up the pastels I was going for.

Every birthday party needs a bowl of sweet and sour candy!

You have to have fresh fruit at a spa party to get those antioxidants going.

I made my own sangria, it's easy and so tasty. I used dry red wine with fruit notes, cointreau, passionfruit juice, and then I added the fruit (orange, lemon, lime, nectarines, and plums). I soaked them overnight.

I found these great lime coloured glasses for really cheap, they are plastic, but dont look like it from this picture.

I made this banner with scrapbooking paper. I strung them through a ribbon and stuck them to the wall.

I am a scrapbooker, I wanted something from all my guests to add to my book, so I added an area where they can write something.

I punched cardstock scraps as used them for note cards (thanks again Alissa).

On my front door I put a sign that says the 25th spa, it was a crowd favourite, courtesy of Vanderbaaren designs.

This was the facial station, steamer, Queen Helene's mint julep mud masque, homemade sugar strawberry scrub, and Thayer's rose witch hazel toner.

This is the manicure station, polishes, soaks, and all the supplies you need.

For the pedicure station, I got regular large plastic bowls. I put marbles on the bottom, which gives your feet a mini massage. I added salts, oils, and moisturizing soap. I put them on a beach mat to keep the floor dry.

The whole room.

My lovely talented baker friend Catherine made the cupcakes. It's hard to tell from the picture, but they have sweet little pastel pink and green flowers on them.

The party is in full swing.

Birthday Party continued.

I love flowers, they add such a splash of colour and freshness to a room. I decided to do mostly pink arrangements with lilies, spray roses, gerbers, and tulips. I threw in some green and white as well. I put them in a combo of blue, white, baby pink and green vases. The results turned out great.

As a favour for all of the gals I made my own bath salts. Sticking with the pink theme as you can see, I think the lables(thanks Alissa) and the ribbon added the granny chic I was going for.

I thought it would be a nice touch to send everyone off with a gift bag, I found these great little satin drawstring bags (displayed here on my 1971 Jukebox). Inside I put a thank you card, a 4 in one pedicure tool, moisturizer, and some candy, as a throw back to the tradition loot bag.

My 25th Spa Party

This year was the big 2-5 for me so I decided since I am not the partying bar type to do something a little different. I wanted to get all my girlfriends together for a night of chatting, pampering, and sugar overload. I was going to take a simple do your own nails and eat some cupcakes route, but thus, I went overboard with a spa incorporated theme. I think it turned out quite nice and I tried to add some details to make it special. I went with a pink pallette, to up the girly factor.
